Hi,i am researching the Ritchie side of family in Scotland and Australia,i have a Charles Langlands Ritchie married a margaret Fowler Leslie and i note the Ritchies and Leslies were close as earlier they appear as witnesses for marriages.
Charles and Margaret married in 1920 in St Andrews Fife in Scotland and in 1921 sailed for Australia.
The furthest i have been able to get back is to John Ritchie who married an Elizabeth Snowball in 1897.
It was the second marriage for both,elizabeth's prior married name was Floyd,i do not know anything of Johns first wife,they were Charles parents.
Just hoping there may be someconnection you may know of,yoy mentioned a Mary Leslie but i don't know what the (POLLY) Gamble means regards Edna
