I am trying to figure out if David Ritchie who was suppose to be a full blooded Scott is actually the son of Philip Heinrich Rutschy, a German who immigrated to America onboard the "William and Sarah". David has a brother, Isaac who settles in America, while he is said to have settled in Ireland and marries a Scottish woman and never migrated to America. Jacob Ritchey, David's son marries Polly Schumacherin, a german and settles in America. Their son Soloman is said to have come from Rockingham county Virginia and maries Maria Smith(Schmidt). Other accounts have Jacob marrying A Maria Turner and having the same son, Soloman who marries the same woman, but with differ on the dates of Jacob's birth and death. I would like to have any info on Jacob, David and Philip. Did David move to Scottland from Germany, then have a son Jacob who moved to America? Any info would be appreciated.
