Sorry Carol, but I do not have the answer you would like.
I have no information on Michael (Michel) Ristow before emigrating to South Africa. His wife by the way was Dorothea Luise (born Heydke) born 1822. I got a little excited when I saw an earlier posting from you, but quickly realised it was someone else.
Once I have got some more done on finding the decendants of my grand aunts I would like to delve a little further into the family tree prior to emigration. At this stage I do not even know how or where to start.
