Hi Trevor,

I am one of the many Ristow in Brazil, from the branch of Johan Carl Ristow.

He came to Southern Brazil, to Santa Catarina, and there's a city full of Ristow. The city is Brusque. It seems to be the strongest branch from Johan Carl Ristow.

One of our 'cousins' have made a wonderful research and found enough information to fill a book of 300+ pages.

The book is called "Memórias e Conquistas (120 anos de história da família Ristow)"
something like "Memories and Conquest(120 years history of the Ristow Family).

It was a restricted printing.

I'll check if there is anyone available, so you could contact them to obtain it.

Also I'll try to compile an e-mail list of the Ristow members.

Feel free to write me!

It was a wonderful surprise to meet a cousin (even if a distant cousin) on the net searching for information about part of my own history!

See you,
Gil Ristow Branco
