Hi Linda!

Sorry I haven't gotten back with you before now.

Yes - this is the same John George Reissinger. I have over 109 pages of info on this family. Here's a small breakdown of how my husband is related:

John George Reissinger (c. 1720 Germany/? Newberry District, SC) and Rachel ?

Thomas Vitus "Fite" Reissinger (c. 1742 Germany/? possibly Jamaica after 1783), m1. Susannah ?, m2. Mary ? Mulberry Henry (she married first to Mr. Mulberry, then to Frederick Henry, Sr. Fite was her third husband. As far as I know, they had no children together.)

Children of Fite and Susannah ?:
Thomas Rissinger (c. 1760 SC/c. 1841-1849 Lexington Co., SC), m. Elizabeth ? (c. 1757 SC/aft. 1850 Lexington Co., SC)

Jacob Mariah Risinger (1768 Newberry District, SC/1825 Bibb Co., AL), m. Anna Mary Reitlehoover

Thomas and Elizabeth Rissinger had a son named David Risinger (who married Catherine Black), who had a son named Thomas Risinger (who married Frances Caroline Seay), who had a son named John Roston Risinger (who married Polly Gunter), who had a son named Thomas Joshua Risinger, Sr. (who married Emma Pearl Roland). Thomas and Emma were my husband's grandparents.

I'm currently working on a file for the descendants of Jacob Mariah Risinger. I'm up to 113 pages so far. I'm gathering census info, birth and death records, military records, etc.

If you have any questions, just let me know!
-Dana
