I recently purchased an oil painting at auction with a signature by Mabel Risinger. I know the previous owner and it was in her family for the past four generations. Dating it back to mid 1800's. My friends family is from the Preble Co., Oh. area and I noticed that the Risinger family has roots there also. Can anyone give me information whether this was her birth name, or married name? I'm also interested in getting it (the painting) back to it's local area.
