Now strongly suspect that 4)Jonathan Rising born about 1750 who wed Hannah Strong, sister to Ruth Strong, and living in Windham, VT is Jonathan (#106). His son Jonathan, born about 1782 is the Jonathan that appears in the 1810 census in VT and then the 1830 census in Jefferson, NY. There is also a Samuel Rising living in Jefferson, NY in 1830. Could this be his son? There were other Rising's in Jefferson: Josiah (#61)settled there after the Revolutionary War and Abner, Jr. (#142)shows in the 1820 census but died before 1830 as his wife Jane shows in the 1830 census.

Jonathan (#106) wed Lucy _____ and is found in the 1850 census with his son Christopher, born 6/27/1825, living with them. Jonathan died 1/31/1866, 82 years old. Lucy died 4/5/1852, 57 years old.
