Robert,
Thanks for clarifying. I was indeed referring to Thomas Raysor Risher, son of Benjamin Risher IV and Elizabeth Sophia Raysor. I sincerely hope I didn't cause any confusion!

Regarding the DNA, I am currently awaiting results of O.W. Risher, Jr. test. Grandson of Oren Benjamin Risher and Blanche Corrine Risher (maiden).

I would love to see the MTDNA testing done, which shows the matriarchal DNA inheritance. The Y-DNA will only prove that the males in the family were related, but will not prove or disprove Mary Fontaine as mother of the several extra children which are postulated. If you know of a direct female-female-female descendant of Mary Fontaine in either the SC and/or MS lines, let me know! It would be nice to settle the issue and add the children.

Can't wait to see results!

Haven't made it back up to Colleton in quite some time, but I'm looking forward to another low-country stomping as soon as possible.

Best Regards,
Bev
