I descend from a James Riseborough who was a laboror in Sherringham, Norfolk England. He fathered with Violet/Letita Harmer a child Dinah Harmer born 4/1807. They never married. James Riseborough and Letita Harmer were each charged money to the parish for care of Dinah.
Violet/Letita Harmer married William Wegg/Wagg in England and migrated to Uxbridge and Goodwood, Ontario Canada. James married a woman named Elizabeth and that is all I know of him.
Dinah Harmer also had a child out of wedlock named Thomas Harmer of whom I descend from. Dinah later married William Pitcher and migrated first to Canada then to town of Oswegatchie, St. Lawrence Co. NY. I have extensive info on the Harmer line but know very little about James Riseborough.
YOur message about Thomas Riseborough caught my eye not only because of the date in the latter 1700's but also the locality of Norfolk England.
Violet/Letita Harmer was the daugher of Samuel and Catherine Olly/Olley/Ollis Harmer of Upper Sherringham, England.
Hoping you have a link to my mystery. Mary
