Just did a family tree maker search and found your messages regarding Rippy's/HART'S.
My second Great-Grandfather was William Thomas HART, b. 12 June 1850, d.29 Dec 1929 married Mary Jane Unknown. (Would anyone know her maiden name?) W.T. HART was a brother to your Elizabeth HART. I didn't see the daughter/sister Rebecca HART on family tree maker searches.I only have 10 children based on a tree I found. He had my Great-Grandmother, Louisa "Rosetta" HART and a son Lucious HART."Rosa" HART married William Walter MAY of MS and had my Grandmother Rogenia Linnie MAY who married a MYERS of Bogue Chitto, MS.They moved to the Washington,D.C.area in the 1920's where they raised 3 children.
So the line goes like this:
Isaiah HART married Eliza GILL
William Thomas HART married Mary Jane Unknown (Bible pgs.)
Louisa Rebecca HART married William Walter MAY
Lennie Rogenia MAY married Vernon Sebastian MYERS
My father and then me!
I began researching our family tree down in Brookhaven, MS area about a year ago based on my Grandmother's Bible. But I hit a brick wall because she used the initials, WT HART.
This week my mother found a cassette tape done about 15 years ago with the name William Thomas HART. It also said Lucious married Mattie ALLBRITTON; they had 3 children: Leon, Lane and Laura HART all of MS. Family tree maker and familysearch.org helped me fill in more details last night on the Isaiah HART/Eliza GILL lineage.
My Grandmother used to tell us the HART's of Bogue Chitto, MS had a rifle company which was important in the Civil War. Would anyone know anything regarding that?Would love it if any of my "Cousins" could help me fill in more of the blanks regarding our HART's! I haven't found census records for WT HART yet.... Also, would anyone have pictures?!
