Hi Denise, Rev H. M. Ripley was Horatio M. Ripley, son of (are you ready for this name?) Tyrannus Ripley (1782-1882) and his wife Rebecca Susan Howe (1795-bef 1880). They were married November 24, 1811 in Livingston County, New York. They had at least 11 children I know of, many with colorful names and/or life stories. For example, they had sons named 'Cicero', 'Piram','Eliakim' 'Leman', 'Oscar', 'Harmon', and so on. A very interesting family. Here is the start of their family in 1850... 1850 Census, NY, Livingston Co., Census 219/227 Tyrannus RIPLEY 62 farmer NY Rebecca 55 VT Pyram 24 farmer NY Mary 20 NY This is another DAR-Patriot family, as the father of Tyrannus, was Piram Ripley (b.
