The funeral of the late Julia Crotty who died Wednesday at the sanitorium at Crescent, Pa., was held from the family home, 924 West Fourth Street, at 8:30 and from St. Andrews' church at 9 this morning. Rev. Father Dugan spoke and solos were rendered by Mrs. Gertrude Seichrist Reineicke. Many floral tributes were sent from friends. Pall bearers were John Heimberger, Pierre Crotty, John Rose, Thomas RINN, Laurence Sullivan and Mrs. DeLouri. Interment was at Trinity cemetery in the family lot.

Accident Victim Buried After Ceremonies Friday
Final rites for David A. Crotty, fifty-three, 637 Victory rd., auto accident victim, were celebrated in a requiem mass in St. Anne's church Friday (April 19, 1940) morning with the Rev. L. A. McBride in charge. Scores of friends and relatives attended and paid last tribute to the victim. Interment was in the family lot in Calvary cemetery. Those who carried the casket were: Charles Gross, Dennis RINN, Pierre Crotty, Charles Bates, Thomas Crotty, and Charles Halderman. Mr. Crotty was killed early Tuesday (April 16, 1940) in an auto accident. The victim was the father of Dave Crotty, who is well known in Erie for his athletic ability while a student at East high school and at the University of Detroit. Well known in Erie, the deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie Donovan Crotty, and the following sons and daughters, David, John, Josephine, Margaret, Dorothy, Patrick, and William Crotty, and Mrs. Donald McCurdy. Mr. Crotty was prominently identified with the American federation of Labor. He was also a member of the Guard of Honor of St. Ann's church.
