I am not researching the Rink family. I am researching
my ancestor whom I believe came from Germany as a Hessian
soldier. In looking over the info on the Johannes Schwalm
Historical Asso.Inc. site on the Net I saw the name of Johanne Frantz Rinche(note spelling) He was a Hessian soldier probably from Germany who desserted in 1779
and settled in Lincoln Co NC. If you are not familiar
with the Hessian Army which was composed of Germans soldiers hired by the British Gov. to help fight against
the colonist in America, let me know and I will do my best to fill you in. I am researching Martin May who was also a
Hessian soldier, but am not having any luck as to info I need to establish that he was my ancestor.
