Have nothing on Mercy, but am related to the family and have some contradictory information. My sources are 'The Commoners of Great Britian and Ireland' by John Burke, Esq., Genealogical Publishing Company, Baltimore, MD and 'The Fitzwilliam, O'Brien, and Watson Families' by Dorothy Garesche Holland, St. Louis, MO, 1973.Burke lists a Col. Richard Ringrose as married to Jane, or Alice, Synge, daughter of Dr. Synge, an Irish Bishop; his heir is John Ringrose, Esq. of Moynoe House in County Clare, Col. in the Army, who married Avarina, daughter and co-heiress of Col. Bartholomew Purdon of County Cork.Other children of Col. Richard Ringrose were Joseph, Isaac, Jacob, who by a second marriage had a daughter, Jane, who married first a Crorsdale, Esq. and secondly to James Moloney, Esq. of Kilterman in Clare and had issue by both.Would like to further compare notes.
