Carole, also ask relatives if they have any wedding or funeral newspaper clippings, old wills, old school diplomas. Do they know what relatives did for a living, or if they lived anywhere else. Do they know where any family members are buried? Do they know if they had any children that died in infancy?
St Marys Church in Hendron, London might have some information on your family in their church records. Check with your local historical society they can tell you where to look for genealogy information.
On Joseph William Ringe M Charlotte(Lottie) on 3-1-1876 did they marry in Hendon, London, and do you have a copy of their marriage certificate.
I have the 1881 RINGE Census data for all of England, so that establishes a baseline for your research. The 1881 England Census is on CD. The earlier London Census 1841, 1851, 1861, and 1871 are almost worthless. London census during this time are not indexed. There is hope with the 1901 England census. The public was supposed to be given access to it in Janurary 2002. However, it still is not up and running.
