i received this in an email a few years ago, looks like you have some of the blanks. i have been trying to tie it to mine, but haven't. my line is thomas s ring (1822), thomas ring jr (1790), thomas ring sr. (1757) sp: Susan FOUNTAIN. haven't gotten any further. "I have documentated back to Martin Ring, born ? and died ?, and his wife Celia ? born August 29, 1769 and died ?. Their children were Celia, also Selia or Silia, born Sept. 20, 1790; Susanne born Jan. 25, 1794; Thomas born Nov. 25, 1795, married Nancy Nance March 27, 1824 and died October 16, 1840, This is my gr.gr.gr.grandfather; William R. born May 25, 1805, married Elizbath Draughn on October 21, 1839; John R. born 1808 and died August 8, 1818; Joshway born March 16, 1810 and died August 18, 1818; and Martin born 1812 and died August 25, 1818. There was an epidemic in August 1818. I also have a Thomas Ring born June 2, 1700 and died Jan. 15, 1796 who married a Margaret ? born Dec. 1, 1710 and died Nov. 1, 1805. I am missing two generation between Thomas and Martin. All of this is quoted from a Ring family bible. The two missing generations were not entered. They lived in the Rowan, Surry, and Stokes Counties in North Carolina. My undocumented information on Thomas Ring, Sr., is: He was born 1757 and died 1846. I have no information on his first wife. His second wife was Sarah West. They married May 13, 1799. This date was sent to me by a lady that did copious research on the Ring family. She stated that it came from marriage records. It is most likely accurate. I don't have the documentation. Thomas was 41 years and Sarah was 16 years when they married. My Thomas's mother was the first wife."
