Hi I am also a decendent. I do have my tree posted online. But due to the usual finances I can't seem to access it anymore. My great grandfather was William Cornelious Ring. He had one girl and about 7 or 8 boys. My grandfather was John Gordan Ring Sr. he was married two times. He had one son by his first wife. I guess sometime after his son was born he met my grandmother Velva Lucille White. They ended up getting married because he got my grandmother pregnant. They got married in May and had my dad in September. My grandfathers divorce wasn't final in either October or November. My father was John Gordan Ring Jr. I believe My greatgrandparents were from up north or Alabama. Not sure I had all kinds of dates on my tree. A friend helped me find a lot of the information and had it on her membership. I am writing this because my grandfather John Gordan Ring Sr. use to have family reunions every year back in the 60's and 70's and maybe before in June. There were a lot of people at the reunions, we had a big family. It would be nice to do it again just to see what happens and who is interested. I know that there are Rings associated in Texas, N.& S. Carolina, Florida, and mostly Georgia (which is where I am.) My grandfather had the book you guys are talking about, but we don't know what happened to it. I do however have a book called The Family Heritage Book. my grandfather bought in 1982. That was just a few years before he got really sick. He died in the early 1990's. There is a certificate in the front of the book. Basically in the book is mostly names of living Rings and addresses. I know that most of them are actually passed already. There is only one living servivor of my fathers sibblings and none of my grandfathers family living. My email is nettreagan@hotmail.com if you want to ask any questions. Notify Administrator about this message?
