Jason, It seems you've run smack into a relative! I "just happened" to type in "Isaac Ellis Ring" and up pops all these "Ring" listings, including yours. If my calculations are correct, I.E. Ring was my great great Grandfather on my mother's side. And, Jason, you mention the Merrill booklet. I have it right here on my desk in front of me. It would be helpful to have your email address, as that way I can attach a copy of the page on which I.E. Ring is mentioned and I'll also send another particular document to you. But the Merrill volume says that I.E. Ring was born on Oct. 20, 1829 and died after 1900 at Little River, N.C. It goes on to tell how that he moved to N.C. and was drafted into the Rebel army, was captured by the Yankees and served time in Elmira (N.Y.) prison. I've love to correspond or talk to you on the phone (Ph.863-294-8432) Hope to hear from you. Dr. Bill McDonald Notify Administrator about this message?
