No, I don't think so. My Dad's Dad was Andy Ring and his family was originally from Grayson Co. Virginia. I can only get back to about 1744 and then the trail goes cold so I am thinking boat arrival. My Grandmother Effie Sexton Ring was Andy Ring's second wife. The first wife died fairly young. He was a lot older than my Grandmom Effie an died when my Dad, the youngest of three, was a small boy. Probably too much info for you, sorry.
