Thank you for your reply. First there is no doubt that Zilpha and Marcus were both born in Nova Scotia. Zilpha's parents were Rufus Robbins and Letitia Wyman. I think the confusion must arise from the fact that the area that they lived outside Yarmouth in Yarmouth County was called Rockland. If you check the 1880 US Census you will see that they and their children, Jennie, Josephine, Norman and Effie all are listed as being born in Nova Scotia.
Anyway, thank you for the added information.
