John Halbrook(s) / Holbrook(s) 1750 - 1760

Hello,

I am coming across some conflicting information on the parents of Joseph Holbrook(s) / Halbrook(s) who married Diana(h) Ring 1 Dec. 1803 in Stokes Co., NC.

Some information leads to the parents of Joseph being John Holebrook b. 14 Jun 1761 in Georgetown, ME married Mary Cooksey b. 1765 Wilkes, Co., NC (married ~1780 in Georgetown). Other information suggests Joseph's parents weere John Halbrook b. 1752 d. aft. 1830 in Perry Co., TN, married Martha Hamm ~1773.

Does anyone have definitive information on which is the correct line for Joseph?

Thanks,

Tim
