According to his World War I draft card, Felix Leonard Riney was born 22 Feb 1894 in Springfield KY. He was single and living with his mother when he signed the card on 5 Jun 1917. His parents were William and Helen Anastasia "Annie" (Smith) Riney. Annie was a daughter of Benedict Joseph Smith and his wife, Harriet Theresa Rhodes, according to one source which I have not yet been able to document. William Riney was the second child of that name to be born to Joseph and Isabelle (Cambron) Riney. The first William died on 1 Jun 1853 in Washington County KY of lock jaw. Back to Leonard Riney; I believe he was a passenger on a train involved in a wreck at Shepherdsville KY on 20 Dec 1917. From newspaper documentation, I know that he survived the wreck although he was injured. The problem is that he simply disappers after that time. I've checked censuses for both 1920 and 1930 and he doesn't seem to be anywhere in them. Some of his brothers went to Detroit to find work, but Leonard is not with them either. It appears that he died before his mother did, for he is not identified as one of the children who survived her. She died in February 1948. If you can help me find Leonard, I'll be grateful.
