I've seen some geneological tradition that says that Zachariah Riney, son of Thomas, was decendent of Hugh O'Neill (i.e. Riney code name for Ri (King) O'Neill). In fact, my great grandmother, Ella Riney, received a letter from the British government offering her claim to O'Neill land rights in Northern Ireland. However, I can't find the lineage from Thomas Riney to Hugh O'Neill. Anybody know the answer?
