Rinella in San Francisco/San Jose & New York from Trabia
Looking forrelations who families came from trabia in the early 1900's. Giuseppe Rinella and Carmela Rubino Rinella came to the US in 1901 and stayed with his brother Salvatore Rinella in 41 Main st., Albion, NY and PA. Salvatore came to the USA in 1890 and married Augustina Barone, they had no children. He was a fruit dealer.
Giuseppe and Carmela moved to San Jose, Evergreen area, after the 1906 earthquake in San Francisco. They had six children. Joseph (born in PA), two others died in SF, then Mary May (married Allono), Sam (Salvatore?), Josephine (married DeMalta), Millie (married Adams), and my father Filippo (Phil) Rinella. Joe later changed his and my Dads name to Renelle...
Grandmother Salvatora Vallelunga (Carmela's side) she was about 68 when she came. She was the mother of Josephine DiMatteo Rubino, Caterina DiMatteo Canciamilla and Salvatora DiMatteo Gattuccio and another daughter Carmela that stayed in Trabia. They lived on Folsom, Dupont, 22nd, Gasper Place in S.F and Union St's.(Oakland?) Many relations in San Francisco to San Jose. We are missing the brothers of Vallelunga and DiMatteo's.
