ggrandchildren living today , we learn that joicy was born in
louisianna. however , she spent less than two years in LA , before
returning to corinth MS tishomingo county for the 1860 census....
in 1872 josey and her brother jim chidester are found in corinth city
school records , joicy lived in corinth MS for nearly thirty years .....
and it said , she probably fished everyone of those days.
jan. 1878 , miss J A Chidester married E F rinehart in prentiss co. MS.
where , their first child john is born in dec. of that same year.

J. A. Rinehart had served in Co. I, 32nd Mississippi Regiment (Infantry),
C.S.A., according to 15 Aug 1901 pension application. He had served
1862-1864 and had been wounded. [F. T. Ingmire, Arkansas Confederate
Veterans and Widows Pension Applications, 1985].... John a rinehart
died in conway co. AR 1913.

eligh and joicy rinehart by 1883 , along with his parents ...
and eligh's sisters , mary w (rinehart) alexander and nancy "nannie"
(rinehart) McCall , all move to ada AR , conway co... where their uncle
thomas w rinehart(1840)MS and eligh's aunt sarah (rinehart) mcwilliams
already live.
...... in conway co. AR , the last two chidren of joicy + eligh
are born , ernest (1888)AR and edgar (1891)AR .
... in conway co. AR , joicy and elijah seperate , elijah remains in
perry co. until his death in 1932..... before 1910 , joicy
is crippled from an accident , where eligh had thrown a water bucket at
joicy and broke her hip , which undoubtly contributed
to their seperation. ....
... meanwhile , their son ernest moves to geary OK , blaine co. ,
where decendants still live today , (thanks to info provided by
merle rinehart (1918)OK , the wife of dalton) .... and their youngest son ,
edgar moved to ponca city OK , kay co. .... edgar's son arthur , later becomes
the rinehart family genealogist.
... in 1929 joicy rinehart , who is now blind and crippled
moved to OK , with her son edgar ... while living in ponca city ,
it is said , " joicy who loved to fish , would go down to the river
with edgar to fish , but edgar had gone somewhat deaf , so between
the two of them , blind and deaf , edgar would have to do the
looking and joicy would have to do the listening ".
joicy a. ( chidester ) rinehart , in 1932 at age 74 died
and is buried in burbank OK , osage co. near ponca city .
