There will be a Rine/Ryan Reunion on 8/21 in shelter # 4 at Grand Vue Park in Moundsville, WV. This is the first reunion since the 1980's. Please bring any and all family history and old pictures that you have so that the information can be shared. There will also be available Rine geneaolgy information that may help fill in some of your blanks.
Registration is from 9:00 to 10:00 am, getting aquainted and family history sharing followed by lunch at 12:30. There will be a short meeting after lunch to plan the 2005 reunion and to discuss a DNA project. The purpose of the DNA project is to determine if there is a connection between the Rine line from Maryland and the Lazarus Rine line. If there is, this may further assist in determing the birth place of Lazarus.
At mid-afternoon, those that wish, can take a short trip to Rines Ridge to appreciate the view that Lazarus Rine had when he lived there in the late 1700's as well as visit the cemeteries where many of the Rines and allied families are buried.
Please bring lunch, beverages and chairs for your family.
This should be a fun and informative get together. Plus an opportunity to meet some new cousins.
