Jamie, I received your letter about Mary Rine. I too have become confused with all the same names.I no longer do research. I am just happy to see there are others beginning to look for their Rine lines. Mary Rine, bn.1811 is one I could never find. There was another (many) John Rine in Maryland. I believe he was a cousin to Casper & Rudolph. Rine's were in Maryland in the 1690's.The first one came in 1676. They lived in Sumerset Co. Then moved up to Fredrick co. Other lines were in South eastern Pa.in 1700's There were numerous Rine families with same names, who came to Maryland in the 1800s from Germany. They were all related thats why they came to the same place, after which they began to move westward. One of the many people I spoke to over the years told me that His grandfather Henry had told him about the 20 wagons of Rine's that settled in Coshocton Co in 1817. The best I can tell you is contact other Cullison researchers. Sorry I can't be of more help. Best of Luck. Larry Dean- E. Sparta Notify Administrator about this message?
