Looking for info on RILEY
Martin Riley, b Co. Waterford, Ireland, 1844
Ann/Annie _______m. Martin Riley.
In 1879 they were living in Warwickshire,
England.In late 1879 they traveled to
the US, immediately going to St. Paul, MN.
They took with them three children:
William Riley, born 1868 in England
Mary Riley, born 1870/71 in England
Elisabeth/Lizzie, born 1874/75 in England
The RILEY family settled on a farm in Lismore
Township, Nobles County, Minnesota.
Annie Riley died in June 1880.No
death notice/cause/burial is recorded
there.
Martin Riley died February 2, 1884,
at the farm.
At the time [1884]:
William, age 16
Mary, age 13 - Mary went to the
Home of the Good Shepherd in St. Paul.
Lizzie, age 9 - Lizzie went to the
Catholic orphanage in St. Paul.

In 1889 - William [according to
newspaper accounts] was going to
Ohio.

Trying to find out for sure what
happened to these children after
they were left as orphans in 1884.
