Linda,
I have extensive material on James Hamilton and his family.About 23 years ago my sister-in-law and I did a book on the Riley's.Of course, it is now that many years out of date.I communicated with many of James Hamilton's descendants. What I have is quite lengthy. Our line is from the brother of James, Patrick. At this point in time we have their parents as Patrick which is proven, and mother Polly Cadix, not proven. There are quite a few people out there working on trying to verify Patrick and Polly. We do know that Patrick was married twice or more.He came from Scott County, Virginia.A Jim Riley took a trip there less than a year ago and came back with stacks of information. He has contacted me several times and said he was going to send me some.At this time I have not received anything.I am still anxiously waiting. The portion of our book on James is about seventy pages. We chose to include any of the descendants of Patrick and Polly that we could put together, so the entire book is 167 pages.Much of that is our line but there are other Riley's related in the back.A lot of people don't go any further than their direct line.I actually have 3 5" ring binders of family sheets on this line.Would you like to have just the James portion?Let me know.
Kathy
