A short biography of Samuel Riker is on pp. 313,314 of Riker's 1854 THE ANNALS OF NEWTOWN. In the war he was a Lt. of Light Horse, Kings Co., Militia; twice he was a member of Congress; & he is buried in plot #110 of the Riker Cemetery.
