Do you know much about Fredrick Rigsby / Rigsbee ? I came across his Rev. War records and found some interesting info on him b. Oct 1751 ( 1819 says age 66 = 1743) d. 24 Sept 1841 Wake Co., N.C. Pvt. - 4th. Regt. N.C. Continental Line - served 3 yrs. Capt. Jos. Phillips - Col. Thos. Polk Enlisted 9 May 1776 Surry Co., N.C. "where I lived" Served til' 10 May 1779 - discharged Peramas (Sp.?) N.Y. Took pension for 1 year only " was informed and believed why (his) name was not continued - (he) "held property to large an amount" in 1820 - "and have not disposed of my property" Oath 6 Feb 1819 - age @66 - Wake Co., N.C. "The discharged he delivered up when he obtained by land warrant" He gave a list of his worldly possesions (later about this) Unable to support himself from age and infirmity Living with him "a wife age @38 and a daughter age @ 10 yrs." 1818 changes to his property 80 (86?) acs between Bartons Creek 1 Jan 1827 sold to ___ Shipps ?Phillips? - rec'd $86.00 which went to pay ?debits? "22 Feb 1827 - Fredrick Rigsby - resident of Wake Co., N.C. - age 75 in Oct. last " He signed his mark E Now onto his list of possesions among other things for farming he listed SHOEMAKERS TOOLS - LEATHER and COPPER ?COOPER?
