Howdy all
The BLM recently put their General Land Office records
online:
http://www.glorecords.blm.gov
These records show transactions where the government sold
land in new states. They do not include any of the 13
original colonies, or states that were formed from them,
so no West Virginia, Tennesse, or Kentucky. They also don't
include Texas. They also don't include transactions between
individuals; only the first time a parcel of land was sold.
Here's the Rigsby records. R-numbers refer to my database.
I have further information on anyone here with an R-number.
If you know more about anyone without an R-number, please
contact me.
The GLO record includes a legal description of the land,
giving its exact location. I didn't include these
descriptions below, but do have them in my database. Let me
know if you are interested in any of them.
