Some misc notes collected from the internet follow. Hope all this helps:
"I believe your people could have come from Guilford/Randolph/ Orange Counties,NC. Adam Reitzel(Rightsell) md Catherine Moretz and had lots of children before he died and is buried in Liberty Grove Cem. near where the old home place was. Catherine later md. John Coble. She was daughter of John Moretz and ________. Adam could have been the son of Johann Henry Ritzel(X) who came on ship Priscilla, Sept.1750. Moretz family came on shipOsgood few days later. Stahle(Staley) family came on ship Nancy in Aug. 1750. I have copy of Catherine's land division among children if interest. Ref. "Penn. German Pioneers"

"There was a Adam Reitzel who was protestant, born in Germany in 1751, and who died in America on July 18, 1792 in Liberty North Carolina."
