J. R. Rightsell, late 1800s, Arkansas

Does anyone have information about J. R. Rightsell? He was the 2nd Superintendent of the Little Rock School District in Arkansas, from 1871-1880, and again from 1885-1905. He is buried in Mount Holly Cemetery in Little Rock. There is an elementary school named after him, but we don't know much else about him.

I am doing research for the school district. Thank you for any help.
