Maybe that Samuel born in 1789 in Litchfield, CT, maybe he's just plain out of place here. Our Samuel probably could have been born in 1796 just after Enoch in 1795 and before the child born in 1797?? It doesn't seem likely that the family would travel backwards from N.C. to CT at that time, does it? People were migrating westward. Why CT? The family came from New Jersey. What would have taken them at that time to CT?
