Hi everyone! I am trying to help a friend of mine who was born in Montreal on April 16, 1951. She was put up for adoption right away. Her mother's maiden name was Riendeau; she was supposedly 22 years old at the time, and had refused an offer of marriage. She was working as a teacher in Montreal, but her parents lived in the Chaudiere-Appalache region, in a semi-rural area. Her mother was the fourth of five children, and the grandparents had a 13 years age difference between them. The grandparents did not know about the pregnancy. Mlle Riendeau died at 55 of a heart attack. This would have been around 1984. When she put her daughter up for adoption, she named her "Esther". Does this ring a bell with anyone? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
