I'm looking for help in establishing the ancestry of Marie-Angelique Riel (b. 1744?), who married Louis Plouffe (or Plouf) in 1764 in St-Sulpice, Quebec. In some genealogies, her parents are given as Antoine Riel (b.1709) and Marie-Anne Perrault, and Antoine's parents are given as John-Baptiste Riel and Louise Coutu (Cottu). Rene Jette (Dictionnaire genealogique des familles du Quebec des origines a 1730)does not list an Antoine born in 1709. Jette does list a Jean-Baptiste b. in 1709, who marries Louise Frappier in 1730.

Marie-Angelique Riel and Louis Plouffe are supposed to be the parents of Pierre Plouffe, b. 1773.

Any help would be very much appreciated
