Shirley Riedel
LEBANON, N.H. - Shirley M. Riedel, 70, died Wednesday, April 7, 2004, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. Born Oct. 14, 1934, in Valley Heights, Pa., she was a daughter of Warren Hummel and Addale (Dale) Hummel Quaigg. Her mother survives in Garden City, Mich. Also surviving are two sons, Donald, New Boston, N.H.; and Mark, Epsom, N.H.; a daughter, Kim Bower, Pembroke, N.H.; 12 grandchildren, Misty Risner and Chantel Kin, both of Carey; Damien and Derick Riedel, both of Sycamore; Marcus Riedel, Epsom, N.H.; Destiny Westhoven, Epsom, N.H.; Ashley, Dru and Logan Bower, Pembroke, N.H.; and April and Amanda Hoover, and Abigail Riedel, all of New Boston, N.H.; seven great-granddaughters; two brothers, Pete Hummel, Sycamore; and John Quaigg, Michigan; and four sisters, Donna Tschanen, Sycamore; Trudy Wise, Findlay; and Sharon Thompson and Jackie Smith, both of Michigan. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, John Quaigg; and a sister, Dale Strong. Ms. Riedel graduated from Sycamore High School and lived in Ohio until moving to New Hampshire in 1992. She was the community coordinator at the Wal-Mart in Hooksett, N.H. Ms. Riedel enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and reading. A memorial service and reception will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 24, at the Sycamore United Meth-odist Church in Sycamore. Memorials may be made to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, 1 Medical Center Drive, Lebanon NH 03756-0001. From Daily Cheif-Union 4/7/04
