Seeking descendants of James Ridpath (1767-1860) and his wife, Elizabeth Cox. They were married June 25, 1792 in Rockbridge County, Virginia, and spent the majority of their married life in Montgomery/Pulaski County, Virginia. They had the following children:

2. Elizabeth (Betsey) Ridpath, b. 1794, md. Samuel Jeremiah Farmer
3. Charlotte Ridpath, b. 1796 (may not have married, but I believe she had a son Benjamin Ridpath)
4. John C. Ridpath, b. 1798, md. 1st Mary Cox, md. 2d Elizabeth ?, md. 3rd Mary Jane Bird McVey
5. Alanson Ridpath, b. September 17, 1800 in Montgomery County, Virginia; d. August 1835 in Miami Co., Ohio, md. October 26, 1822 in Montgomery Co., Virginia to Rebecca Kelsey, daughter of Thomas Kelsey and Eunice St. John
6. Martha G. Ridpath, b. 1802, md. Joseph Runyan
7. Catherine B. Ridpath, b. 1804, md. John Beckleheimer
8. James Ridpath, b. 1806, md. Sabrina Stevens/Stephens
9. ? Ridpath, b. 1807 (supposedly female)
