Janice I am just now reading your post. Can't believe that. There is a lot about the Reidling family when it comes to Daniel's first wife Elizabeth Harris, but I have not run into anything about his second wife Elizabeth Smith. It seems that I am the only one that has done any research, but there are lots of families out there that are from that marriage, because I have talked to some of them.
Elizabeth Smith married Daniel 23 Jan 1869 in Jackson Co., Ga. I do have a copy of that union. She brought several children with her being that she was a widow at the time of the marriage. One was my great great grand mother Arminda Smith. Elizabeth Smith and Daniel had a son by the name of Daniel Webster Reidling. It is his family that has many off springs. Mostly all are located in Gerogia and some are still in Jackson Co.,Ga.
I was hoping to find family that was related to Martha Jane Reidling to help in the research. There were two younger Reidling children that lived with her in her early years of marriage and she was also older than her husband when she married in Madison Co.,Ga. Please contact me if you wish. Most all my family is from Ga., but I live in Texas.
