I've only recently resumed genealogical research, after a 25-year break. I've been going through the archives, and tried to respond directly to Amanda Ridgeway Barnes' post #196 (from 1999!). The email to her bounced back.
I have information about John Robert Ridgeway (b. 2/18/1850, AL, d. 12/29/1930, Lauderdale Co., AL) and his wife Jennie (M.J., Virginia, nee Howard) Ridgeway (b. 3/9/1847, where?, d. 1/21/1923, Lauderdale Co., AL).
I think John Robert's father was John Ridgway and his mother was Clarissa (nee Loving).
Jennie Howard's father was William Howard (6/20/1828, AL, d. 2/7/1889, Lauderdale Co., AL), and her mother was Narcissa (nee Sullivan) Howard (b. 8/2/1830, TN, d. 4/12/1906, Lauderdale Co., AL).
I would love to hear from anyone researching this line.
Is anyone in contact with Amanda Ridgeway Barnes? I'd like to get in touch with her (a likely unmet cousin of mine!)
