Hi Linda, thank you for the follow Up. Years ago I believed the same thing until I read the book, "Ridgways USA by Gergrude N. Brick and Thurman Ridgway. They Have two families of Ridgways in their book. One is Richard Ridgway b. 1648 d. 1723 1st m. Elizabeth Chamgerlain 2nd m. Abigail Stockton. The second family of Ridgway's is John Ridgway d aft 1733 m. Elizabeth Simmons she d. bef 1733. This information is found on page 567 of this book. Colonial Dames 17th Century with the line I had earlier and was told I couldn't because my line didn't go back to the 1600's.
