I have come across Jame R. Ridgeway before. I suspected he was the son of a John Ridgeway who appears on the 1840 census for Eugene, Vermilion County. The only problem is that John does not list a son in 1840 and James DOB would make him only 11 in 1840. Could just be a mistake but who knows. If James was the son of John, he'd be the brother of Nancy Ridgeway (md Thomas Don Carlos) and Elizabeth Ridgeway (md Jacob Cooper). Elizabeth was my 3rd great grandmother. Let me know what you think whit103@aol.com
