"Samuel Rider House - This 18th Century farmhouse was built by Samuel Rider, a church deacon, in the mid-1700s. Now operated by the Wellfleet (that's Cape Cod, MA by the way) Historical Society, it has been completely restored as a historical landmark. The homestead also features seasonal exhibits. Located on Gull Pond Road off Route 6."

There is a graveyard on Rt.6 in Wellfleet with a VERY large population (30?) of Rider surname grave stones from this era and forward. Not sure if this is the same Samuel. Wellfleet is a truely beautiful vacation spot. A visit is worth it. Someday maybe I'll even figure out if I am related.
