Dear Robert - Have you run across the name LAREHANT C. RIDER or "L.C." RIDER in your Indiana Rider research? He was my maternal grandfather, probably born in the late 1890's. He married my grandma, NETTIE HAYES (born Nov. 12, 1898)I don't know where either of them were originally from, but they had 3 children in the Fort Wayne, IN area between about 1914 - 1920. Their names were: Veora Rider, Vivian Marie Rider (my mom) (born Sept. 12, 1918) and Gerald Rider (the youngest, I think).Gerald and his wife Lois owned a Business in downtown Fort Wayne from about the late 1950's throughout the early 1970's called "Rider's Baby Furniture".They are probably deceased by now. My mom told me (before she died) that her dad (Larehant) "abandoned us when we were little and we never saw him again....he worked for the railroad and was a 'good fer nothin'" No one seems to know any more about him.I noticed some of the first names of your relatives are unusual and sound like they could be German names, which Larehant SOUNDS like, don't you think? Anyway, should you discover his name or his wife,NETTIE HAYES in your research, please DO let me know, as I have absolutely NO leads on this branch! Thank you and God Bless......Susan
