My grandmother told me years ago that there was some kind of family rift that ended up in a split with some taking the name Spurger and some Riddle. Obviously some kept the full name. My gg grandmother was Narcissa Ivey Riddlespurger (b. July 23, 1836, Muscogee Co., GA; d. July 26, 1920, Franklin Co., TX) m. William Draper (b. Aug 6, 1836, Pawton, GA; d. Aug 21, 189 Franklin Co. TX). They were married Feb 18, 1857 in Barbour Co., AL. The Drapers, Hightowers and Keiths settled in Titus Co. (later Franklin Co.). My great grandmother was Artemis Elizabeth Sofia/Sophia Draper. She married a Hightower. Do any of these names sound familiar? I have a lot of info on the Riddlespurgers, but would like to verify some of it. Thanks for your help, Linda
