The final destination of Harrison A. Riddles b. 1819 in Tenn. and who resided in Prairie, Carroll Co., Ark per the 1850 & 1860 census and whose 1st wife was Nancy Plumlee b.1825, Tn.[1850 census] and whose 2nd wife was Nancy C. unk b. 1838, Ala. [1860 census] has been found.

He and 2nd wife,Nancy Unk are buried at Mountain Peak Cemetery, Ellis Co., Texas. The cemetery is located 6 miles south of Midlothian, Tx. off Hwy 875.

Buried in same cemetery are John S. Riddles b. 01 July 1848,Ark. died 18 Jan 1909 and his wife, Sarah Josie Phillips Riddles b. 23 Dec 1856 died 04 June 1899. And some of their children. John Samuel s/o Harrison A. Riddles & Nancy Plumlee.

Also there is Owens T. Riddles b. 03 June 1860 and died 15 May 1883. He is s/o Harrison & 2nd wife, Nancy. Shows to be O. T. Riddels and all the family are shown with last name of that spelling.

The above info is located on Ellis Co. genweb archives.

I am not certain how Harrison A. is connected to my family line of Richard Riddle/Riddles b. 1785 & Priscilla Celia McCutchen b. 1784, SC. but no doubt he is in someway.

Listed on Ark. BLM records c.1852-54 are the following:

Harrison A. Riddels-----19N 24W
Richard Riddles---------19N 23W [Richard-1785 or s/o John Riddles b.1805,SC]
Jeremiah Riddle---------21N 24W

Another riddle/mystery of the "Riddles" to be solved. Can anyone help?

Regards, Willie Gail Riddles-Rotzoll
