Isaac Riddle

On my mothers side of my family, I descend from Isaac Riddle and Anna Grizzle.
My maternal grandmother was Alta Lavada Smith, b. 1891 in Titus county, Texas. Daughter of James Alexander Smith, b. 1859 in Titus Co. Texas. Son of Nancy Ann Riddle, b. 1835 in Gibson co. Tenn. She married David M. Smith in Texas. Nancy was daughter of James G. Riddle, b. 1812 in Kentucky?
He was son of Isaac Riddle and Anna Grizzle.
Isaac and Anna are buried in Blevins cemetery, Cason, Titus co. Texas. Markers were still there 4 years ago.
Seek info on Isaac Riddles parents. Specifically his father. Info is he was William Thomas Riddle. Is this correct? Info is he sided with British during revolutionary war. Is this correct?
Also, Melungeon lineage keeps coming up. I understand that this line or race of folks were Portugese by descent. They lived in the areas of Virginia, Tennessee and Kentucky. Any info appreciated. Odis.
