Diana, the Aquilla you memtion would be born March 10, 1778, (married to Sarah "Sally" Riddell). I have him as the brother of James Riddle born about 1777,(married to Dicey Abney) and also brother to Robert Riddell born 1773 in Maryland,(married to Mary Hyatt). James Riddle is my line: then William Riddle born 1807, then Aquilla Riddle born 1837 ( my ggrandfather). The family was in Estill, Pulaski and Rockcastle counties. The family line is sorta'
confusing before these three brothers. I got some info
several years back that pointed to a Lewis Riddell born about 1844 in Orange Co. Va. and his father William Riddell born about 1725 in Orange Co. Va. Supposedly
his father was from Scotland and had came to America.
I have the children of these brothers and so on...
