A short biography/family history of Arthur M. Riddell is included in "Montana, Its Story and Biography", Vol 2. Arthur's grandfather came from Scotland and established the family in Ontario Province, Canada.
Arthur M. was born, 9 Oct 1889, to Joseph Alexander and Catherine (Murchie) Riddell, b. 1855, Bolton, Ontario & b. 1866, Ontario, respectively. They were married in Grafton, ND. Joseph A. Riddell retired to Long Beach, CA. Children: Marion, died at age 7; Arthur M.; Robert.
Arthur was educated in the public schools of Missoula, MT, and graduated from Butte Business College in 1908. According to the 1930 Federal Census, Arthur was living in Los Angles, CA, and was married to Grace (last name unknown) ca 1928.
